OAK BROOK, IL., May 18, 2026 – SmartMark Communications is pleased to announce that Juliet Shavit, President and CEO, will speak at Itron’s Grid Edge Innovation Exchange, taking place on May 19-20, 2026. The exclusive event is organized by Itron and hosted by ComEd.

The Grid Edge Innovation Exchange brings utility leaders together to collaborate, share successes, and exchange best practices around how to solve grid edge issues like preparing for DERs, mitigating outages, navigating deployments of new technologies, and better understanding the role of customers.

Shavit will join leaders from Itron and Pacific Gas and Electric Company for a panel to discuss the role of orchestrating DERs behind the meter and the role of customers in the new distribution paradigm.
