Mississippi Power Smart@Home App Privacy Policy

  • The Mississippi Power Smart@Home App works in conjunction with the Smart@Home pilot.

  • The Smart@Home pilot (the "Pilot") is entirely voluntary. Customers who sign up to participate understand that, prior to and during the period they will be using the connected technologies, their data use will be analyzed by Mississippi Power, the Pilot Administrator and/or any other consultant engaged by Mississippi Power for this purpose.

  • By participating in the Pilot, customers agree to allow Mississippi Power, the Program Administrator or other third-party contractor/consultant to control the Smart Devices (and, if a customer already had a compatible smart thermostat, the customer's smart thermostat) during Savings Days. Savings Days coincide with high demand for electricity, typically during hot summer weekdays when many people run their air conditioning units or other devices at the same time.

  • Mississippi Power is exploring ways to curb demand during these peak periods and is offering the Smart@Home app and additional incentives to help customers participate in energy savings during these times.

  • Savings Days will occur twice a month, over a 12-month period, and may last up to four hours.

  • Customers may choose to exit the Mississippi Power Smart@Home pilot at any time. Smart Devices can be removed from the Smart@Home app and Pilot at the customer's convenience.
