Mission: Zoo-Possible Wins an AESP Energy Award

February 25, 2026 – Mission: Zoo-Possible, a Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program interactive experience for children, has won the Marketing and Customer Experience – Residential Award at the 2026 Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Energy Awards.

SmartMark was honored to support the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program team to conceptualize, design, and deploy the Mission: Zoo-Possible campaign with Brookfield Zoo Chicago in 2024. The interactive campaign featured a mobile app (Android/iOS), physical and digital signage, social media graphics, an on-site photo peek board, and of course—a prize! Running for nine weeks, the campaign educated families and children about energy-saving habits while engaging zoo guests in a mission-based adventure through the park.

The AESP Energy Awards recognize innovative and impactful projects, programs, and leaders shaping the energy industry today. This award highlights creative approaches to residential marketing and customer experience while recognizing the campaign's positive influence on the energy sector.
