SmartMark Celebrates Nicor Gas Smart Neighborhood Show Home Ribbon Cutting

Aurora, IL, November 12, 2025 — SmartMark Communications is honored to celebrate Nicor Gas and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley at the official ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Show Home in Habitat Green Freedom, a Nicor Gas Smart Neighborhood™.

The Show Home will serve as an educational hub for residents and industry stakeholders that showcases how different technologies and systems can come together to create affordable, energy-efficient and smart homes.

Once complete, the Nicor Gas Smart Neighborhood will include 17 homes that include smart, energy efficient appliances as well as a high efficiency building envelope that integrates solar panels and energy storage for resiliency. Nicor Gas and Humanity of Northern Fox Valley aim to improve homeowners' quality of life, while helping manage their monthly energy costs.
